Application process consists of three steps:

(1) the online registration (below). All registrations will be reviewed and qualified applicants will be invited to

(2) submit a full application with your regular application documents by email.

(3) Top candidates will be selected for an interview.

To start your application, please access the online registration form below and answer all the questions. Please allow some time for the completion as detailed information is requested.

We suggest that you have a look at the questionnaire and study all solicited entries before starting to fill it in. In particular, you should pay special attention to

1. ?the short essay on your motivation to be part of the IMPRS-gBGC

2. ?indicate your preference for one of the research projects or a member of the faculty.

It might be a good idea to take your time and to prepare more detailed answers off-line first. Be aware that once you exit the questionnaire, every entry is lost!

After a successful registration an automated email will be sent to you confirming your registration.We will inform you in a second email about your admission to the second application phase.

Successful candidates will be offered a highly communicative scientific environment, a comprehensive mentoring program as well as a Ph.D. stipend for three years. The studies will start in October 2010.
